چکیده

Topical propranolol has been used in clinics for treating cutaneous infantile haemangiomas, but frequent applications of semi-solid preparations are required to maintain therapeutic drug concentrations the skin layers over time. This work aims study preparation patches by hot-melt ram extrusion printing, a novel technique suitable personalization dosage forms. The steps are: i) mixing poly-ammonium methacrylate polymer (Eudragit RL) with amount plasticizer [acetyl triethyl citrate (ATEC), triacetin or tributyl citrate, TBC] and (propranolol base, hydrochloride), ii) melting extruder, iii) printing on backing layer foil. All formulations released loaded reasonable time exhibited adhesive properties. determination permeation profiles revealed patch made Eudragit RL TBC containing 1% hydrochloride as most promising formulation ensuring retention human epidermis (Q ret /J = 1.32) and, therefore, it can be selected when superficial haemangioma treated. Conversely, ATEC base case deep haemangiomas.
